Mix strolls in lesser-known neighborhoods with your visit to the Vatican and its crush of tourists. Then, plan your days out in a sensible manner mixing in down time for people watching in cafes along with your museum visits. So, pick the sites you absolutely have to see and leave the others for your next trip because there is no possible way to see all the classics in Rome in one trip. How’s a person supposed to tackle the laundry list of “must-see” attractions and maintain their sanity? Planning and patience. And every one of those tourists wants to see the exact same sites as you. It’s also massive, choked with traffic, and mobbed with gaggles of tourists from all over the planet. We thought this small hotel was lovely, perfectly situated and a great value.Good news, you’re going to Rome! Bad news, so is everyone else on the planet.
It's only a 15-20 minute walk to the Fontana di Trevi and the Pantheon. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops right outside the door. The hotel location is excellent - about a block from the Spanish Steps and in the heart of an upscale shopping area near the Via Condotti.
The noise did not bother us but those looking for something more quiet may want to ask for an inner room away from the street. Our room on the 2nd floor faced a bustling street so loud chattering and honking cars could be heard but dies down as it gets later. The room was simple, modern, very clean and the hotel staff was helpful and super friendly. She was comfortable and had no complaints. There are only 9 rooms-lobby is small but there's a lounge on the second floor (free tea/coffee pods available.) We had a large room and requested a rollaway bed for our teen daughter.
